Hair Today: Drawing 10

There has been an explosion of interest in hair for me recently, and although I haven't cataloged it here, there is definitely a lot to come!
When I was growing up, we art students had to dedicate much of our talented exploration to life studies which included self portraits. Drawing my curling hair was always my favorite/scariest part! There are so many ways to interpret the way it falls and moves. It's not doubt that it is a huge personal trait of mine. So this series begins as a self portrait. How my hair has become something of a place to be surrounded by, to get tangled in, to often despise , to keep warm in, to nurture, and to love.
